STUDIO RENTAL & PRACTICE TIME

Studio Rental for Events
Our main studio, (5246 N Elston Ave, 2nd Floor, Chicago) is available for rent for events such as dances, parties, corporate events, rehearsals, workshops, and lessons. This space has a beautiful brand-new maple dance floor, reception area, and two multi-stall bathrooms. We have a powerful sound system, mirrors (which can be covered by drapes), and versatile lighting. There is a parking lot on the premises, plus street parking is plentiful and it's easy to get to using Metra, CTA, the Edens, or the Kennedy Expressway. Contact us for pricing and availability. Studio Rental for Private Lessons
Independent Instructors may be able to use our studio to teach private lessons and group lessons based on availability and approval from MayIHaveThisDance management. Contact us for pricing and availability.

Practice Time
Currently Active Regular Students of May I Have This Dance may use the studio to practice specifically what they are learning in a May I Have This Dance program during available studio hours at no charge. "Currently Active Regular Student" is defined as:

1) Actively enrolled in at least 1 current MayI boot camp
or
2) Taking at least 1 private lesson a week and at least 1 group lesson a week with a MayI instructor.
or
3) Taking at least 3 group lessons a week with MayI (not counting Willowbrook, SOS, or TGIF lessons).
or
4) Actively enrolled in at least 1 current Student Troupe Performance Class and taking at least 1 private lesson or additional group lesson a week with MayI (not counting Willowbrook, SOS, or TGIF). This only applies to the regular, planned time period of a Student Troupe Performance Class. If a routine is practiced, enhanced, maintained, or prepped for a competition or show after the official performance class has ended, each student will be charged $3 per hour for studio time. If a student is actively enrolled in just 1 current Student Troupe Performance Class and no other group lessons, they will be charged $3 per hour for studio practice time. This is in addition to any coaching & choreography fees, if applicable.

If a Currently Active Regular Student wants to use the studio to practice non-MayI material, the must pay $3 per hour.

If none of the above criteria applies to you, you may still use the studio for practice at the rate of $6 per hour per person during times available. Portions of hour are charged the full hour. If an Active Regular Student is practicing with a non-Active Regular Student, only the Active Regular Student gets free studio time (or $3 per hour for non-MayI material)--the non-Active Regular Student will be charged $6 per hour.

Student Practice must not interfere with Private Lessons and other MayI functions. Any Private Lessons and other MayI functions that are simultaneous to student practice will get priority for floor space and music. If a student group of larger than 2 people at a time plan on practicing, they should get prior approval from the MayI management. MayI management and instructors also reserve the right to stop any student practices if they are at all disruptive to private lessons or other MayI functions that are happening at the same time.
