STUDIO RENTAL & PRACTICE TIME

Studio Rental for Events

Our main studio, (5246 N Elston Ave, 2nd Floor, Chicago) is available for rent for events such as dances, parties, corporate events, rehearsals, workshops, and lessons. This space has a beautiful brand-new maple dance floor, reception area, and two multi-stall bathrooms. We have a powerful sound system, mirrors (which can be covered by drapes), and versatile lighting. There is a parking lot on the premises, plus street parking is free and plentiful. Practice Time
Students may use the studio to practice with advanced approval and scheduling through May I Have This Dance management. The cost is:

$6 per person, per hour.

In some rare cases, Instructors may waive the practice fee for their Currently Active Students for specific and limited instances. This would only be possible for those meeting the below criteria:

1) You must have a written note from your May I Have This Dance instructor with details about the approved and fee-waived practice with a specific date and/or range and the specific approved topic for that practice. Otherwise management will need to charge you when you arrive.
2) Students must be practicing material they learned specifically from a May I Have This Dance class or Instructor. (Outside material, videos, etc, can still be practiced, but the normal student rental fee will apply.)

Student Practice must not interfere with Private Lessons and other MayI functions. Any Private Lessons and other MayI functions that are simultaneous to student practice will get priority for floor space and music. MayI management and instructors also reserve the right to stop any student practices if they are at all disruptive to private lessons or other MayI functions.
